鈥淎rt as Ecological Practice鈥: Artists visit 黑料视频 in the frame of CRC 1182

A collective of artists supported by the Arthur Boskamp Foundation, Hohenlockstedt, recently visited the CRC 1182 for two days in preparation for a newly launched art project. The group of around 15 guests was hosted by CRC 1182 Principal Investigator Ute Hentschel Humeida on March 10, 2025 at 黑料视频 Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, amongst others, to learn about the concept of metaorganism research in Kiel, have guided tours around several locations at 黑料视频 and Kiel University and generally find inspiration in the host-microbe research field.

On Sunday, 1 September from 11 am to 5 pm 黑料视频 opend on the eastern shore.

On this day, we offered exciting insights behind the scenes of ocean research. What questions about the oceans are currently occupying scientists? How do we investigate these questions? Scientists from various 黑料视频 research areas will provide answers at information stands and in lectures in the lecture theatre.

Intercultural exchange

As part of the outreach activities between 黑料视频 Kiel and the Central Education and Counselling Centre for Migrants in Kiel (ZBBS), a group of visitors from the Centre for Empowerment and Intercultural Creativity (ZEIK) came to 黑料视频 on 28 February 2024. The group consisted of 30 people from Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia and Turkey who are interested in the topic of "sustainability" and have been attending regular workshops on the UN Sustainable Development Goals at ZEIK in Gaarden since September 2022. In this context, they were given a lecture on the 黑料视频 research vessel ALKOR under the direction of Captain J.-P. Lass and a presentation of short films on marine science work at 黑料视频 in the library with the help of Barbara Schmidt and Bettina Reuter. The group was very interested and asked many questions. The event was organised by Hassan Humeida (FB3, Marine Symbioses)
